Explore Kawagoe in a girly lace kimono and hakama!
This time, I was introduced by a friend and rented hakama with my friend at Rikawafuku Kawagoe store!
It was my first time exploring Kawagoe wearing kimono and hakama, so it was a brand-new experience.
Rikawafuku Kawagoe store kindly helped us choose our hakama and kimono as well as our hair sets, which made me very happy.
The plan we used this time was the Kawagoe Hakama Hair Set Plan.
Girly Lace Kimono and Hakama Coordination
We chose a coordination of a light blue lace kimono with a white hakama and a white lace kimono with a pale-tone hakama to make a twin-style coordination!
The symmetrical colors of the kimono and hakama looked so cute!
We also paired the kimono and hakama with a lace embroidered collar and a toque hat for an overall girly impression.
The back view was arranged with tulle decorations coming out from the hakama, making the back view just as cute.
Our hair sets were styled in braids down and matched for the two of us.
Fluffy fur items were recommended by the staff as accents for winter, so we wore them.
It became a really cute hakama coordination!
Masks were convenient for taking kimono photos as well!

With a pearl bag, the entire outfit was super girly and cute!
I had wanted to try a lace kimono for a while, so I was really happy.

Kimono Stroll to Kumano Shrine Near Rikawafuku
We also visited Kumano Shrine, about a 7-8 minute walk from Rikawafuku Kawagoe!
We enjoyed praying and taking photos in our kimonos.
Since it was a weekday in December, there were few people, so we could enjoy it without crowds.
Food Strolling Near Kawagoe’s Kurazukuri Street
After visiting Kumano Shrine, we enjoyed walking around Kurazukuri Street and trying different foods.
There were so many food stalls that before we knew it, it was already time to return the rental.
It was so much fun that I want to rent kimonos again in Kawagoe or another place!
