Q

When is the limit for reservations for the day?

A

Online reservations are available 30 minutes before your arrival. If you are willing to rental in less than 30 minutes, please call us.

Will the price change for different Kimonos and Yukatas?

A

All prices for Kimono and Yukata are the same exept fo formal and semi-formal Kimonos.

Do you have supports for other languages?

A

Yes indeed. English and Chinese are always available incase their taking a break. Korean is OK when the Korean staffs are on shift.

Is it possible to rent before 10AM?

A

Yes, by extra 1080yen/person. Please contact us by email or telephone.

The plans seemed to be all booked for my suitable time.

A

Online reservations may be closed, but contact us just incase.

I finished the aplication but the confirmation email won't arrive. Will you check my reservation?

PC email adresses are only available for the reservation system. Please try once more if you used other email adresses.

I accedentaly double booked my reservation.

Please cancel from the "Reservation" page.

May I reserve by phone?

A

Yes, Laguages of Japanese, English, Chinese are available.

Are reservations for exepting mothers OK?

A

Yes, but only who are in the golden period. Please take responsibility for any accidents even so.

Are reservations for elderly people OK?

A

Yes, we have many families customers like, daughter and grandmother.

Can I bring my own Kimono or Yukata?

A

Yes, the price will be Dressing: 2,500yen, Hair setting: 4,500yen. Ask us if you are interested in double-woven obi or Nagoya obi.

Q

Is it possible to keep large baggages like suitecases and strollers here?

A

Yes, it will both cost 500yen. Other baggages that fits in the "Luggage bag" will be free to keep.

Is it possible to pre-check the Kimono and Yukata?

A

Yes it is, but it is unable to hold it until your use.

Q

Is the student plan available for people from overseas? Should I biring my student pass?

A

Yes it is. Your country will not mattr unless you have your student pass.

I am going to be late. Should I contact?

A

Not unless you will be late less than 15 minutes. Phone calls are required when you are goping to be late for more than 30 minutes.

Can I change the time of my reservation?

A

From online, you would have to cancel it from the "Reservation" page and, make a new reservation. You can also call us or email us too.

How can I cancel a reservation?

A

From online, you would have to cancel it from the "Reservation" page. You can also call us or email us too.

How much will it cost for canncelling?

A

No carges until the day before your reservation. Cancelling on the day of your reservation will charge you 100% of the fee.

Returnings

Q

When is the deadline of returnings.

A

19:30 is the deadline. You can postpone the deadline to 21:30 by an additional fee of 1000yen.

Is returning on the next day possible?

A

Yes it is. The next returning option is available by an additional charge of 2000yen.

Is it possible to mail the Kimono for the next day returning option, or sending self owned Kimono in advance?

A

We do not accept mail returnings or pre-shipments. Mail returnings are only available for people in distant locations.

Kimono Dressing

Should I bring anything when I rent for the day?

A

Basically nothing at all. It is recommended for gentlemens to bring a V-neck inner wear for the cold or heat.

Are there Kimonos for women that are over 180cm (6feet)/ under 150cm(5feet)?

A

Yes we have large sizes. The Kimono dresser will adjust the size for people who needs smal sizes.

Is it possible to select the obi and accessories?

A

Yes, our well trained dresser will suggest the ones that will match with you Kimon or Yukata. Ask us if you need anything else.

How long will it take to get ready to go?

A

About 45min-1.5hours. This includes registration, selecting Kimonos and preparing baggages.

Q

How will the dressing and Hair set take?

A

Kimono/Yukata: 15-20min, Formal Kimono:25-30min, Hair set: 15min

Will you make diferent adjustments for the obi?

A

Yes, our dresser will adjust the obi styling considering the color and pattern.

Are double-woven obi or Nagoya obi available?

A

Yes, but it will charge you an additional 5000yen.

Kimono and Yukata

Are there any Kimono and Yukata for children?

A

Yes there are. The price of each plan will be the same as adults.

Is it possible to ask for advices?

A

Yes, if you request for it, sure.

Will new Kimonos and Yukatas arrive in periods?

A

Yes, we purchase new Kimonos and Yukatas every season.

Is Kimono available in summer?

A

Only Yukatas are available in July and August, which is the main summer time.

Hair Sets

Is make up part of the plan?

A

No it isn't. Please arrive with your make up on.

Is hair setting part of the student and couple plan?

A

Yes it is. Each plan includes professional hair setting.

Q

Are hair accessories rentable?

A

Yes they are. All plans with hair setting includes the accessries too. An additional 500yen will make it rentable for the Basic plan.

I have very long(short) hair. Is it possible to set my hair?

A

Yes it is. Our stylist wil set it just fine considering the length of yur hair.

Q

Is it possible to set my hair by myself bringing my own tools?

A

We do not rent spaces for hair setting. Please arrive with your hair set if you are willing to set it yourself.

How many hair accessories are included in the Hair Set plan?

A

Basically one. Sometimes you will have more than one depending on our stylists decision.

Other Questions

Q

What happens if any damages or stains occurs to the rented Kimono or Yukata?

A

Any damages or stains will charge you 10,000yen. Please apply for the Kimono insurance wich will be 500yen+tax(8%) if you are concerned.

Q

What is the definition for "stains"?

A

Mostly stains from sauce, shave ice and burns from the ashes from cigaretts. Please ask for details at the front desk.

Q

Is it possible to visit other place than Asakusa?

A

Yes it is. Our rental plan is for the whole day, it is all up to you where you visit.

Q

Where do most customers visit?

A

People with Kimonos mostly tours the Asakusa area. People with Yukatas goes to Disneyland, events that has Yukata discounts, see fireworks and summer festivals.

Could you share us about any sightseeing spots?

A

Yes of course. Please check the Rika-Wafuku blog, we are sharing many information about Asakusa there.

Do you take credit cards?

A

Yes we do, at the front desk. It will charge you 300yen for commission.

Are Chinese payment apps available?

A

Yes we accept Alipay and Wechat pay. Please ask for services at the front desk.
