Asakusa Kimono Rental with Student Discount and Street Food!

Today, I went to Asakusa with three of my university friends 🍡⛩
We rent kimono at Rikawafuku Asakusa, and strolled around and enjoyed street food near Sensoji Temple!
There were so many types of rental kimonos that we had fun debating our choices together 👘
Retro-style kimonos seem to be trending lately, so we picked that style.
There were plenty of retro options, including antique kimonos ☺︎
They also styled each of our hair in different ways, and the cute looks really lifted our spirits!
First, we had age-manju (deep-fried sweet buns)!!!
There were many flavors, but we chose sweet potato and chocolate, and snapped a photo of the three of us together 📸
Speaking of Asakusa—menchi-katsu is a must! The onions were bigger than expected and it was incredibly delicious ❤️
For dessert, we had sweet potato ice cream 🍨, and I had an ichigo daifuku 🍓!
When it comes to sweets, everyone’s eyes sparkled more for the treats than the photos—so funny!
As you wander around Asakusa, there are tons of photo spots, so wearing a kimono for pictures is highly recommended ☺︎
This photo is at Kagetsudo, a melon bread shop. I heard the wall design changes with the seasons~~
I took lots of kimono photos that will be a lasting memory of my university life 😊
While I’m still a student, I want to rent a kimono in Asakusa again and enjoy sightseeing!
