Rent a cute retro kimono at Kyoto Station and go for a stroll in traditional attire.

For our student trip to Kyoto, we decided to rent kimonos and went to Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store!
Chose Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store because the kimonos looked cute on Instagram
I often checked Rikawafuku’s Instagram account and thought their kimonos were so cute, so I wanted to try renting a kimono and used Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store!
Since it was the season for antique-style kimonos, the two of us chose retro and antique kimonos and coordinated them in a “twin look” style.
There were many other kimonos as well, so it was hard to decide, but we chose the retro kimonos we had wanted to wear.

We added organza tulle to our retro-style kimonos to make them even cuter!
Wearing an antique kimono alone can look too mature, but by adding the optional tulle, the outfit became a well-balanced and cute kimono coordination!

After Kimono Rental at Kyoto Station, we visited the Kunjukan Museum
After renting kimonos at Kyoto Station, we took the subway to visit the Kunjukan Museum.
Since the store is close to Kyoto Station, it’s very convenient for those who plan to use trains mainly for sightseeing!
The Kunjukan Museum exhibits fragrances and cultural items, making it a perfect spot for taking cute kimono photos while strolling around.
The combination of our kimono and the background colors was so cute, and it became one of my favorite kimono photos!
Since not many people visit the Kunjukan Museum yet, I recommend it to anyone planning a Kyoto trip in the future.
Especially if you want to take retro-style photos or wear antique or retro kimonos, this could be a great spot to consider!
Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store has many retro and cute kimonos, and the staff were kind, so I highly recommend it for students and friends!
