We rented kimonos as a couple in Gion and enjoyed sightseeing in Kyoto!

Rikawafuku Gion Store
I wanted to wear a retro yet cute kimono, so I rented one here ❤
The staff kindly helped me choose my kimono, which made me really happy.
They also styled my hair into a fluffy and super cute look! I added my own headband as an accessory.
Sightseeing in Gion with a Retro Kimono
First, we went to a local dango shop called “Umezono,” recommended by the staff.
We ordered mitarashi dango with kinako shiratama and mitarashi dango with matcha warabi mochi.
The chewy dango was absolutely delicious!
It was so nice that the staff not only helped with the kimono and hair set but also recommended local shops to visit.
Visiting Fushimi Inari in Kimono
Next, we went to Fushimi Inari Taisha, just 10 minutes by train from Gion-Shijo Station.
The thousand torii gates were so impressive ❤
There were many international tourists at Fushimi Inari Taisha.
We used this guide for our visit:

Instagrammable Fox Senbei
At “Sohonke Inariya,” we tried the famous fox senbei (270 yen for the largest size). Perfect for Instagram!
Not only does it look great for photos, but it’s also very tasty!!
Shaved Ice in Gion
Back in Gion, we stopped by “Ocha to Sake Tasuki” for shaved ice.
This time, we had the October special: Fresh Pione grapes with cream cheese ❤
The big chunks of grapes paired perfectly with cream cheese!
Since they offer different seasonal flavors every month, it’s so delicious that you’ll want to come back again and again.
Returning the rental kimono was smooth and quick, taking only about 10 minutes.
Rikawafuku Gion has so many other beautiful kimonos I’d love to try, so next time I want to rent one with my friends ❤
