Rent kimonos at Kyoto Station, where simple kimonos are arranged in a modern style.

I often saw posts under Instagram and was curious kimono, so I decided to try renting a kimono.
Although the cafes I wanted to visit were mostly in the Gion and Karasuma areas, I thought renting a kimono at Kyoto Station would still make them easily accessible, so I rented there.
Looked Modern and Cute in a Kimono at Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store
At Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store, there were many options you could add to the rental kimono, making it easy to customize your look.
See details of optional accessories here
The options include obi decorations, tulle accents, lace inner collars, embroidered collars, and bags, all for just an additional 2000 yen.
Of course, you can also go with just the basic plan, but I enjoyed thinking about how to modernize a simple kimono.
The organza obi and hair set options were especially cute.
This time, we chose a simple kimono with a slightly retro feel and added organza tulle accents to style it!
Being close to Kyoto Station also makes it easy to get there by train, which is another plus!
Rikawafuku even has specially ordered zori (traditional sandals), so there are plenty of stylish options to complete your look from head to toe.
After Kimono Rental at Kyoto Station, We Visited Cafes in Shijo & Kawaramachi
After renting our kimonos at Kyoto Station, we mainly explored cafes in the Kyocera Museum area and around Shijo and Kawaramachi.
The Kyocera Museum is a popular spot for people renting kimonos in Kyoto, and you can take such cute kimono photos there.
I had always thought kimono photos at the Kyocera Museum looked so cute on Instagram, so I was glad we could go there in our kimonos!
At Shijo and Kawaramachi, we visited Blue Bottle Coffee and Premier Etage.
These were cafes I had wanted to visit for a while, so it was great to go in a kimono!
For anyone renting a kimono in Kyoto, I recommend visiting sightseeing spots, but Kyoto also has many stylish cafes, so going there in a kimono is highly recommended.
I especially recommend Kyoto kimono rentals for female friends visiting together!
