I wanted to rent a kimono to celebrate graduation, so this time, my friends and I, who are all students, tried kimono rental at Kyoto Station!

This time, we wanted to wear retro-style kimonos, so the two of us chose matching retro kimonos!

For retro kimonos, I had an image of warm-colored or greenish kimonos, and from those, we selected our kimonos this time.

Rikawafuku Kyoto Station Store has a wide variety of retro kimonos, and the atmosphere of the retro kimonos was really nice ♡

They suggested kimonos and hair styles that suited us, and we were able to look really cute!

The hair styling process involved choosing an image from five styles and then performing the hair set.

There were plenty of hair accessories, and since the store is newly opened, the rental items were clean and very nice.

I highly recommend booking the rental plan that includes hair styling for a complete experience.

Since we are students, we used the Kyoto Kimono Hair Set Student Discount Plan.

After Kimono Rental at Kyoto Station, we went to the Keage Incline

After renting kimonos at Kyoto Station, we headed to Nanzen-ji Suirokaku and the Keage Incline.

Kyoto Station has subway access, so you can take the train to Keage.

You could also rent a kimono in the Gion area and take a taxi, but being able to go by subway is a unique advantage of Kyoto Station!

Of course, when it comes to Nanzen-ji Suirokaku, this is the iconic photo spot! It’s popular on Instagram, and I’ve always wanted to visit it when strolling in kimono in Kyoto.

If you plan to visit Nanzen-ji Suirokaku and the Keage Incline, retro and antique kimonos really stand out, so I highly recommend it!

Adding color through accessories or optional items can also create accent points, making your kimono outfit even cuter!
