Coordinate Original Kimonos with the Sensation of Wearing Western Clothes

Rika Kimono's Original Kimono

This time, I chose a muted blue kimono!
Since it’s an original design, it has a very contemporary pattern, don’t you think? There are white flower patterns throughout.

One of the features of Rikawafuku Kimono’s custom patterns is that they are easy to match and look like something you could find on a dress or one-piece. This muted blue is very modern.

I paired it with tulle, lace innerwear, embroidered collar, and a pearl bag (each available for an additional fee of 500 yen).

For the obi clip, I chose gray to match the kimono’s color (an additional fee of 500 yen).
I also chose gray sandals!

For sandals, you can choose from various colors♪

This time’s rental plan is the Kamakura Kimono Student Discount Hair Set Plan.

When You Rent a Kimono in Kamakura, Try Taking Photos at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Rika Kimono's Original Kimono

When you rent a kimono in Kamakura, be sure to visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
It’s about a 5-minute walk from Rikawafuku Kimono Kamakura Shop, and there are many great spots for taking photos!

This photo was taken on the approach to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The trick is to measure the timing when there are fewer people around, haha.

When taking photos in a kimono, tilting your body slightly diagonally can help you capture great shots with the tulle and hair ornaments, ensuring a stunning look♡

This photo was taken within the precincts of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine!
It’s recommended to include the shrine’s torii gate or capture the red of the bridge railing in your photos.
Moreover, there are green trees within the shrine, so it’s fun to consider the background that matches your kimono.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine has buildings on other roads besides the main street in this image, so it’s also a good idea to aim for places with fewer people!

Café to Visit in Kamakura When Wearing a Kimono – CAFE DE FLEUR –

Kamakura Kimono Stroll

After taking photos, take a short break.
One recommended place for that is CAFE DE FLEUR.

Located just a 2-minute walk from Rikawafuku Kimono Kamakura Shop, facing Komachi-dori, this café’s interior is very stylish with a predominantly white theme.

It’s highly recommended for a break after your stroll or for kimono rental on rainy days!

This time, I had the Prin à la Mode.
The perfect balance between the firm custard and the ice cream on top is irresistible…♡

The simplicity of the café’s interior in white and the blue of the kimono match beautifully, don’t you think!
